Afghanistan's economy ranks near the bottom of the world's nation states. However, it is relatively easy to pay your taxes there. Anyway, the opium trade is booming again which will help boost GDP per capita. Money will pour into the country and raise the standard of living in the rural areas which are currently neglected. The downside, if you're a down-on-your-luck opium farmer, then you do have to worry about warlords taking your crops, taking your profits, or just taking your land away from you.
